IF YOU CONFIRM After installing a replacement transmission, it will not
up shift from 1st or 2nd gear, and DTCs P0720 and P1574 are stored,
DETERMINE IF The Turbine Revolution Sensor and the Vehicle Speed
Sensor-AT (Revolution Sensor) are connected correctly (not switched).
See the Service Procedure. ACTION Unplug (disconnect) the Turbine
Revolution Sensor and the Vehicle Speed Sensor-AT (Revolution Sensor),
switch them, then reconnect them correctly. SERVICE PROCEDURE 1. Check
the 2 connectors on the rear left side (driver side) of the transmission
for correct installation (see Figure 1). Make sure they’re not
switched. • The connector with the white sleeve on the harness should be
plugged into the upper outer sensor (Vehicle Speed Sensor-AT—Revolution
Sensor). • The connector with no marking on the harness should be
plugged into the lower inner sensor (Turbine Revolution Sensor). a. If
the connectors are installed as described above, this bulletin does not
apply. Go back to ASIST for further diagnostic and repair information.
b. If the connectors are not installed as described above; switch them
so they are.
