1. Locate the trailer brake management circuits that are looped and taped to the primary harness beneath the instrument panel.2. Pull the trailering wire harness down.3. Match the car harness label circuit functions to the trailer brake controller jumper harness functions. Necessary: The colour or wires to be joined together might not match. • Dark Blue Wire: switched energy from controller to trailer brakes • Crimson with Black Stripe: fused car power to electrical brake controller • Light Blue with White Stripe: Brake change enter to energy electric brake controller • White: floor • Orange: CHMSL (Center High Mounted Stop Lamp) — not required with most systems4. After finishing the underneath dash connections to the electric brake controller, open the hood and find the purple wire that is taped to the harness between the underhood electrical middle and the motive force aspect entrance fender.
